It was a known fact that water was one of the common conductors of electricity, it was a clear bridge from the water to flesh, if that were the case. Electricity was very much attracted to it, it was a good way to describe his parents. His father, a loyal ThunderClan warrior, had fallen in love with a pretty RiverClan warrior. Fallensoul and Chamomileleaf. He had left to live with his father when he was a few moons old, his brother had been the cause. He had enough with the tormenting kit, who was now apparently a rogue, no longer apart of RiverClan. He had briefly spent time with RiverClan, to make sure his mother was okay, since the death of his grandmother had been so hard on her. Frosteyes had been the leader once, but she retired due to arthritis and age.
Suddenly he found himself out of ThunderClan territory, the border long gone. His triangular ears pricked, pink nose twitching as he smelled the fish-scent of RiverClan, which was where half of his heritage was from. There were many great warriors from there, and many tragedies. He could smell the border, weaving through the area like a snake. Following it he could also smell the lake water, which was not far from here. His pale blue eyes watched, looking for a cat, he did not know her name, but she was gorgeous, more than gorgeous, heavenly. With lovely tabby brown fur and the bluest eyes he had ever seen. The lanky tom stopped for a second, hoping at any moment she would appear. Seeing no trace of a cat he moved on. Was it wrong for him to find a RiverClan cat attractive? Was it in his blood to love one outside of his clan? But RiverClan blood mixed within him.
He was near the edge of the lake now, a neutral area close to all borders. He could see the Island in the center, the Gathering place now. Taking a seat in the soft grass he watched as the water churned, sloshing against the shore.

ooc;; this is crap. i'm sorry. /: bic;; and time has changed nothing at all; you're still the only one that feels like home.
lynx the scent hung heavy in the air. it was an odd scent to find here, so close to the riverclan territory, but none the less it was there, she was curious. light paws carried the she-cat to the source, which became stronger and stronger with every paw step. it was a familiar scent, she knew from somewhere. but where? she thought; she hadn’t been sure of the answer to that one just yet.
the scent brought her closer and closer to the edge of the lake, neutral lands, but only meant to be use for those attending the gathering. it wouldn’t be time for another gathering for quite a few moons for now. was riverclan being raided? she wasn’t prepared for battle, for she was the only riverclanner in the area. no, it couldn’t be a raid; there was only one cat. only one cat. one familiar cat, yet so distant in her mind. she knew this cat; his scent carried about him, something different most other clan cats.
lynxcloud could she the lake now, protected by tall, soft grass and reeds. as the lake brought up scents from all around clans, it became far more difficult to track the strange cats smell. but by now the scent had been engraved the she-cats mind, and she wasn’t about to give up just yet. then, as her blue eyes scanned the beaches of the lake, the tabby noticed something else rather peculiar. the she moved toward the site quickly but cautiously, eager to investigate.
the lake breeze rushed passed her, flooding her nostrils, overwhelming her with the scent of strange cat. it was then that she recognized who the strange, yet familiar scent belonged to. her heart raced, and she bolted forward, dropping her guard completely, everything else in the world pushed to the back of her mind. nothing in the world matter. her commitment to her clan right then had vanished.
“taintedpaw!” she mewed is a soft, melodic voice, her blue eyes glistening.

As the waters continued to slosh and swirl he looked away, watching out for those twolegs that just loved bringing their boats and kits out here. His mind seemed to wander, thinking about Lynxpaw...or was she Lynxsomething now? The pretty tabby reminded him of her, could they be the same cat? They're markings were quite similar. She had been his friend when he was a kit, and still pretty much his friend today, unless she had changed dramatically. His ears twitched, thinking he had heard something. Another cat? Some more twolegs perhaps? The silver tabby tom turned his head from side to side, no one coming from left or right, behind him perhaps?
“taintedpaw!” Hearing his name he turned around completely. Though that was no longer his name. It was Taintedstorm now. He saw her, the gorgeous tabby cat with pretty blue eyes. He smiled, so this was Lynxpaw. "I'm not Taintedpaw anymore, I'm Taintedstorm, what about yourself Lynxpaw?" he chuckled softly, paws bringing him closer. She had grown into quite the she-cat. He could feel the blood rushing to his face and ears. "How are you? How is my mother?" he asked, curious to see if she was doing well. Both of them. His tail was held high, a happy sign in cats, the tip twitched as he stared at her. Feeling that he was staring to long he glanced away, noticing now how close he was to their border.

lynx the brown tabby rushed up the tom and touched his nose with hers. how long had it been since they had last seen each other? many moon, that’s for sure, but that didn’t matter now; he was here now, she was with him now. her heart beat at quick tempo, her entire body was warm and she felt light-headed, just by being in his presence.
“blah blah… taintedstorm blah blah lynxpaw… blah blah you… my mother.” was all she heard and comprehended from what he had said; she had been lost in his eyes, his lovely pale blue eyes. her claws dug into the soft, moist ground and she relaxed a bit, almost to her usual self.
‘taintedstorm. lynxcloud. taintedstorm and lynxcloud?’ “lynxcloud,” the femme meowed, “my name is lynxcloud now.” and a smile spread across her face. the tabby slowly brought her long, willowy tail to her paws and loosely wrapped it around herself. ‘so long… too long’ she thought for a moment, then pushed it aside. “and chamomileleaf, she is doing well. as am i.” ‘now that i’m here with you.’ “everyone is doing great, now that hurricaneheart has been exiled; i never have liked that cat...” she added shaking her head, trailing off. “how have you been? how is thunderclan treating you?” ‘will you come back, please?’ but her plead remained unsaid, for now at least.
she longed for the silver tabby to return; she missed him so dearly. but was he the same cat he was when he left riverclan? or had thunderclan changed him? she hoped for the best, but how much could such sweet, kind cat change? did she even want to know?

He was slightly surprised when she ran up to him like that, touching his nose to his. He could feel his ears on fire as he blushed. His ears drew back for a quick second as he sat, stumbling a little as he did so. “lynxcloud,” the femme meowed, “my name is lynxcloud now.” A grin formed on his white muzzle. "That's great! I bet you're one of the best RiverClan warriors," he meowed, chuckling softly. He bet she was a great warrior, strong and fast, good at fighting. Especially since a leader was her mentor! He suddenly felt bad, remembering hearing news of Frosteyes death. His mother had been devastated, he had never seen her cry so much.
“and chamomileleaf, she is doing well. as am i.” “everyone is doing great, now that hurricaneheart has been exiled; i never have liked that cat...” He tensed hearing his name. That...that...piece of foxdung! He was glad that his brother was no longer apart of the clan. He had caused him to leave and join his father in ThunderClan. He wondered how his other siblings were doing. There had been a rumor that there was no longer a medicine cat of RiverClan, her dream was becoming one, had she become one and died? “how have you been? how is thunderclan treating you?” "I've been okay...adjusting to the fact that Stoatstar is...dead. That Lionpelt likes getting under my skin about being half-clan, but everyone else treats me fine," he replied, though he felt happier all of a sudden. He was glad to see her again, even if the meeting may be a short one.
"Your new leader is Hawstar...correct? There hasn't been a Gathering in quite some time...its about time there is one," he questioned, tail twitching, the last Gathering...well it had been awhile.

lynx the brown tabby felt her face flush at the tom compliment. taintedstorm said she was one the best riverclan warriors. a purr rumbled in throat. she probably wasn’t the best warrior in riverclan, but she was a pretty decent fighter and great at hunting, especially for fish. it was in her blood, wasn’t it? “well... i wouldn’t say that… but thank you. i’m sure you’re one of the best warriors thunderclan has seen in a while.” the she-cat smiled at the thought. she was sure he was a great warrior; that’s what thunderclanners were supposed to be. she frowned; he was in thunderclan and she was not. she was in riverclan. she was loyal to riverclan and by just being here, allowing this tom to be here she was betraying he clan. they didn’t have to know about he being here, and what they don’t know won’t hurt them. or her.
“I’ve been okay…adjusting to the fact that Stoatstar is…dead.” ‘stoatstar is dead?’ “That Lionpelt likes getting under my skin about being half-clan, but everyone else treats me fine,” the she-cats eyes narrowed. who was this lionpelt character and who did he think he was teasing one of his clan-mates? one of her friends. “oh, i’m so sorry…” she mewed softly, regarding to stoatstars death. Her eyes were sympathetic. She knew how hard a leaders death was on a clan. “how did he die?” she ask, curious. but it probably wasn’t her place to be sticking her nose in thunderclan business. “wait, i’m sorry… you don’t have to answer that. lionpelt… why is he giving you a hard time? who does he think he is?” the lovely tabby added quickly, trying to get the subject off of his leaders tragic death.
"Your new leader is Hawstar...correct? There hasn't been a Gathering in quite some time...its about time there is one," it had been a while since a gathering had last taken place, and one was long over due. ‘then we might be able to see each other…’ she thought. she could talk to Hawstar about it. “yes, yes, hawstar is our new leader. and yours? who is he? she?” if stoatstar had died, that meant that there would be. the she-cay waited patiently for his reply.

He absolutely did not want to have to fight her. He wouldn't be able to pin her down or hurt her. He would have to pick a different opponent in a battle against RiverClan...if there ever was one. “well... i wouldn’t say that… but thank you. i’m sure you’re one of the best warriors thunderclan has seen in a while.” "Not really..." he muttered, shifting a little, Tatterstar and Lionpelt were two of the best warriors, they excelled in many skills, which was why they were Leader and Deputy. He nearly shivered, remembering a skirmish with a few rogues at the border, Tatterstar was a dangerous oponent.
“oh, i’m so sorry…” “how did he die?” He shook his head, "Its not your fault..." He thought for a moment, it wasn't really a bad thing to tell her. “wait, i’m sorry… you don’t have to answer that. lionpelt… why is he giving you a hard time? who does he think he is?” "No no...its fine...he was killed...by a rogue," he still could remember the day when they went looking for Stoatstar and found him as a bloody white heap. "Lionpelt is our deputy...and our leader's son, he thinks he is all that," he grumbled softly. “yes, yes, hawstar is our new leader. and yours? who is he? she?”
"Our new leader is Tatterstar...he's a great leader so far," he replied, trying to get the thoughts of Lionpelt out of his head. Lynxcloud was all he wanted to think about.

lynx;; “Not really…” [/i] “why would you think like that?” the tabby inquired, tilting her head to the side a bit. “you look like an excellent warrior, better than me by far.” ‘maybe hes just trying to be modest…’ she thought, shifting her body to the side, making herself more comfortable. “Its not your fault…” “No no…its fine…he was killed…by a rogue,” [/i] the she-cat shivered. there was a rogue in the area. fear suddenly swept over her body, and she became more alert of sounds and objects in the distances, anything that a cat might be hiding behind. Her claws slowly slid out from their sheaths, the brown tabby completely unaware that she was digging into the soft earth. “Lionpelt is our deputy…and our leader’s son, he thinks he is all that,” [/i] so lionpelt was deputy and the leaders son. Still, it gave him so right to pick on a fellow clan-mate. It was then that she became aware that her claws were scraping down in the earth, but she couldn’t relax herself to stop this behavior. “you shouldn’t let him pick on you, who gives a mouse’s tail that he’s deputy; just because you’re half-clan doesn’t mean you’re any less of a warrior than he is; put in his place, show him who you really are.” Lynxcloud said confidently her blue eyes staring straight into to the toms. he was such a stunning young tom… he had a wonderful pelt of silver, but it was his eyes that she adored, his pale blue eyes… such a remarkable shade; by far her favorite color. “Our new leader is Tatterstar…he’s a great leader so far,” “Mhmm, I’ll bet his is…” the tabby mumbled, almost devoured the sound of water crashing against the lakes shoreline.[/blockquote]

Black tabby striped ears flickered as he grew alert for a moment, he paid attention to the scents and noises, not wanting to get caught and get Lynxcloud in trouble. “why would you think like that?” “you look like an excellent warrior, better than me by far.” He kneaded his paws a little into the dirt. "Well..erm...just the way I look doesn't mean anything...I mean, there are warriors that are far more experienced then I am," he mumbled back in reply, truly not confident in his abilities, sure he was a pretty good hunter and fighter, but there was always someone who was even better at those things. He noticed how alert she was getting and shifted a little seeing her claws digging into the earth. His brick red nose twitched taking in the various aromas, nothing that smelt out of place, the air smelt strongly of RiverClan though, but the border as so close.
“you shouldn’t let him pick on you, who gives a mouse’s tail that he’s deputy; just because you’re half-clan doesn’t mean you’re any less of a warrior than he is; put in his place, show him who you really are.” She was definitely right, though many times he would wonder about the first half of his name. Tainted. Was it because of his blood? His mother always told him it was because of the black stripes that coursed through his pretty silver fur, well he didn't think too highly of it. He knew storm was because of his tail, the thick black stripes were like angry clouds on a gray day. He would most likely be watched carefully if he were to stand up for himself, or they would see that he was a true warrior even if his blood was from another clan. “Mhmm, I’ll bet his is…” He noticed something quickly, she wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying, despite the fact that she was staring at him.
"Lynxcloud, is there a reason why you are staring at me like that?" he asked, ears growing hot, surely she wasn't interested in him? It was forbidden and...he wasn't really that all good looking either, or at least that was what he thought. Surely there were much better looking toms in her clan, like her leader for instance. Though he suddenly felt another emotion in him, it was having that thought, he surely did not like that thought. It was jealousy. Why though? Did he like her? Was that it?

lynx;; Maybe if she had been paying closer attention to what he had been saying, lynxcloud could have heard what the tabby tom said under his breathe. Maybe, but since she has been lost in pale blue stare, she hadn’t. he was such a handsome young tom, maybe not handsome as others, but he was the only one who had ever truly grabbed her attention the that he did. Why? She wasn’t exactly sure, but she knew it couldn’t have only been his magnificent blue eyes, could it? no, there was definitely something else, he personality, maybe? Possibly his charm? the tabby she-cat thought back to when the two were kits, when they were both riverclan together. She remembered playing with him and thinking about how much she liked him. maybe she had been more modest then, because she was anything but modest now. she inched close, inhaling his scent, which smelled much like the forest and dirt. It was clean smell, like smell after it rained. What a wonderful thing the rain was, she really did enjoy it, although cats outside her were likely not as welcoming towards it. she was sure it was because she was a true riverclanner; born and raised there her entire life, practically growing up in the water. Maybe not, but almost.
"Lynxcloud, is there a reason why you are staring at me like that?" the toms voice echoed in her ear for a bit until she finally realized she had been asked a question. “Oh, I’m sorry, what did you say?” Lynxcloud asked, laughing at herself a bit. "Lynxcloud, is there a reason why you are staring at me like that?" the toms question ran through her head again. “Hmmm? Why am I staring at you like what?” she inquired, a bit confused. Had she been staring? She hadn’t thought of it as staring, just looking into his eyes… his wonderful, wonderful blue eyes… for a while. A really long, almost awkward while. “Had I been staring? I wouldn’t be surprised; you've grown into quite a handsome young tom, if I do say so myself. You haven’t got yourself a she-cat back in ThunderClan, have you? I would be surprise if you have...” she ask, prodded the tom softing with one of her paws. ‘Please say no!’ she pleaded silently, unaware that she was shuffling herself closer and closer to the tom.

The tom only stared at her, wondering why she was acting so...strange. His head cocked to the side as he watched her well, smell him. Was there something wrong with the his scent? He didn't think so, it told others where he belonged, though it was slightly different than a full ThunderClan cat's scent. He shuffled his paws, his blue eyes staring at her. “Oh, I’m sorry, what did you say?” “Hmmm? Why am I staring at you like what?” She was definitely distracted by something about him, though he wasn't sure what. Was he that naive to what was going on? Most likely, he felt naive. There was a long pause, she was still staring, into his eyes. Was it his eyes? Was there something about them that intrigued her? He didn't find them that special or anything.
“Had I been staring? I wouldn’t be surprised; you've grown into quite a handsome young tom, if I do say so myself. You haven’t got yourself a she-cat back in ThunderClan, have you? I would be surprise if you have...” Handsome? She thought he was handsome? He had never had a she-cat call him handsome, sure his mother always told him he would turn into a handsome young tom with a trail of she-cats following him. He shook his head, "I-I haven't found found anyone...so no, I don't." Sure it would be nice to find someone who loved him for who he was and not what he was. A half-ling, he didn't belong to neither ThunderClan nor RiverClan. Kits...he had never thought about having kits, but that came with a mate right? "Do you have someone in RiverClan?" he asked, something in his gut wanting her to say no. He hadn't even noticed that she was slowly growing closer and closer to him.

lynx;; "I-I haven't found found anyone...so no, I don't." the tabby smiled, still inching closer to the tom. That meant the tom was 'free.' "Do you have someone in RiverClan?" the she-cat shook her head, "No, I haven't... but I've got my eye on someone." The last bit was meant to be only be heard by herself, thought it was spoken a bit louder than a whisper. She flushed, hoping he hadn't heard it, but maybe she should have wanted him to hear; make her feelings known to the tom.
Suddenly, she felt something touch her flank, causing her to flinch. Her eyes drifted from the tom and downward her gaze held on where she had been touched. It had been Taintedstorm? How had she managed to get this close to him? And without her even noticing it? "Oh, sorry about that..." She said in a soft voice, though she didn't move back. She liked being this close to him. She liked the feeling of his warmth and softness against her side. It felt nice; right.

The she-cat's advances remained unnoticed as he stared at his paws. He muttered something, whiskers twitching. "No, I haven't... but I've got my eye on someone." Had he heard that right? She had her eye on someone? He shuffled his paws a little, staring at her curiously. He wondered who it was ( naivemuch?) his blue eyes narrowed as he became deep in thought for a moment. Though she had been acting strangely, staring at him and not paying attention to what he was saying. Could she? No..nonono she couldn't possibly....he shook the thoughts away.
Feeling something warm next to him he blinked. When had she gotten so close to him? "Oh, sorry about that..." He shook his head, "N-no its fine..." He didn't mind it, not at all. He smiled down at her, liking the closeness. Though a thought came to mind. This wasn't right, despite his feelings, it was forbidden. Though look at him, his blood was split in half.

lynxcloud;; "N-no its fine..." the toms words were only a mere whisper to her, for the she-cat had been lost in all that he was. the she-cat tilted her head and rested it on the toms shoulder, purring loudly. she wished it could stay like this, and it could have if only he had stayed with riverclan. it could have if only hurricanekit wasn't such a bully. but this was the past, and she knew it had to end. if a patrol caught them together it would cause such an uproar, especially since their clans were nearly at war with each other. they would be consided traitors. they were traitors. but this felt right. to her it did, at least. this was how she felt, how could it be wrong? how could love be wrong? was this 'love' she felt? it must be; she had never felt this way for any other cat before, she had never wanted to be close to any cat the way she did when she was with taintedstorm. this had to be love. there was nothing else it could be.
but lynxcloud did not know that her name was also 'lust,' nor did she know the ways of heavenplace, who he real parents, sin and virtue did. she knew nothing other than how her feelings for taintedstorm were 'true' and he was the 'only' one she would ever want to be with 'forever'.
"taintedstorm..." the pretty tabby whispered into the toms ear, lifting her head to look at him.

It eased his thoughts, hearing her purr and having her so close to him. He lowered his head and gently licked her ear. His pale blue eyes roamed the area, making sure that there was no one else, no one who would spot them and ruin all of this. He let out his own purr, making sure it wouldn't attract anyone though. If he had stayed with his mother...what would they be to each other then? Would she still feel the same way that she did now? His mind was racing with all of these questions. Would their clans still be so hostile towards each other? With war just around the corner? "taintedstorm..."
He looked down at her, growing lost in her icy-gaze. It took him a few minutes before finally replying. "Yes Lynxcloud?" he asked, sounding as if he was nearly in a trance. He probably was in one, he just didn't know it. If only he knew her true identity, who she really was, would he still trust her so much? Would he still...love her like this?
